Kitchen/ Family Room/ Stair remodel Integrate the main house’s modern architectural spirit into a complementary staircase and kitchen/ family room. The kitchen was entirely opened to the family room and much of the house. The exterior ribbon-window was expanded. Cabinetry was designed low at the perimeter of the space and a custom island table developed as a natural focal element. The wood/ steel components of the railings and cabinetry were designed and built as fine custom modern furniture.

Capitol Hill Residence

1200 sf Second Floor Addition, New exterior, porch entry, main stair Create a seamless addition, following the original house’s lines, while adding elegance. New second floor spaces include (3) bedrooms, (2) bathrooms, Laundry room, walk-in closet and open stairs. An original small, main floor front bedroom was became a gracious porch, foyer and staircase that complement the scale of the house and connect old with new. Traditional, classic design was woven into all aspects of the project, from the proportions of space to the characteristic woodwork.

Seattle Remodel Open a cramped, compartmentalized kitchen. The existing footprint was reused and consolidated by eliminating a back hall and porch area and opening the breakfast nook.
